I remember them being discountinued because parents said the toys were a chocolated covered choking hazard. It wasn’t until a few minutes ago I remembered that there were four steps to the things. 1) Unwrap the foil. 2) Eat/break open the chocolate sphere. 3) .... 4) Profit, err toy! What was that third step though....oh yeah, it was “pop open the damn palm-sized plastic ball that the toy was housed inside of!” People always ruin a good thing.

Fun fact: Lego replaced the two-piece magnetic train couplers with integrated, covered magnet couplers because some kid ate the magnet and got iron poisoning.

Exactly, but those are far too dangerous for 90s American children, thus Nestlé made larger ones that were unchokeonable and still got in trouble.

But the body needs iron in its diet. That kid had the right idea, but the wrong method.

I feel like they should be sold to anyone of legal drinking age. That'll help out with natural selection.

No, but I remember this:

I remembered that name and that song. But after having the original concept before it was removed three years prior, once they reappeared as Wonderballs it just wasn’t the same.

That’s a case where it’s not fair to blame the parents. I Remember those couplers, those magnets were easy to pop off. You can’t expect a parent to notice their kid messing with it.

Just hide a shot inside the ball. You eat chocolate, you get liquor.
